Chinese film festival to screen Iranian film ‘Dogs and Humans’

The 20th Shanghai Int'l Film Festival (SSIF) is to screen Iranian movie ‘Dogs and Humans’ by Ali-Mohammad Qasemi.

The 20th edition of the Shanghai International Film Festival (SSIF) in China has been scheduled to screen Iranian movie ‘Dogs and Humans’ directed by Ali-Mohammad Qasemi.

‘Dogs and Humans’ will be screened as part of The Horizons section of the 2017 SIFF.

Initially released at Iran’s Fajr Film Festival, ‘Dogs and Humans’ narrates the story of love and pain in the daily life.

The independent film uses an atmosphere full of wind and fog to depict the story of the movie, using the nature of the shooting locations.

The story of ‘Dogs and Humans’ takes place in the northern heights of Iran where a big mistake turns a love story around.

Founded in 1993, SIFF as the only competitive film festival in China approved by FIAPF has focused on awards, markets, forums and film exhibitions so as to build an international platform, and promote the development of the Chinese film industry.

The 20th edition of SIFF is slated for June 17-26, 2017.
